Scarfy (also called by the name Regular Scarfy) is an enemy in the Kirby Series first appearing in the first game. It may look innocent but when it becomes mad it turns into a Mutant Scarfy. It becomes mad by being attacked or trying to be inhaled. The Mutant Scarfy will towards Kirby and explodes on contact.
Physical Appearance[]
Normal Scarfies are cute, orange, round balls with blue eyes and a red mouth. They have pointy cat-like ears and beige cheeks.
Mutant Scarfies are a beige one-eyed creature with fangs and a pink mouth. Even though they are very different to their normal counterparts, they have the same ear shape.
Ability[]
Unlike most enemies, Scarfy can not be inhaled. The player need to get Copy (Ability) and scan Scarfy. This makes Kirby get the Crash Ability.
In canon[]
Scarfy in Kirby's Dream Land, their first game, would explode upon defeat regardless of how they were defeated and in Kirby's Dream Land 3, they can be eaten if Kirby or Gooey are teamed up with ChuChu or Rick, though they don't give away abilities. In Kirby's Block Ball, they drop a Crash item when defeated by the pink puff.
Scarfy returns in Kirby Star Allies as an enemy and can't be be-friended.
Smash Bros. Ultimate as a spirit (both monster and normal).
In Kirby: Right Back at Ya, King Dedede bought 4 Pet Scarfies however they made him bankrupt so he released them. The Scarfies started eating other animals are reproduced rapidly. One day, they ate some bones from Nightmare Enterprises and became Mutant Scarfies which Kirby had to defeat.

Kirby: Returning Legends[]
In Kirby: Returning Legends, a Scarfy was experimented by Sky Break in order to create Hunter Scarfy. It turned into ashes after the experiment, meaning that the result is a failure. Another Scarfy was under the possession of King Dedede as a pet.
